4:40 minute movie on and around this claim I was working on at the Emu Opal Field, some 6 kilometers out of town, it is as you go out north towards the Airport but we turn off one track before we get to the airport road and it is bordering the Olympic Opal Field.
This short movie shows the surrounding area of the claim that I am going to work in, it shows you some Caldwell Shafts and a Prospect Drill shaft that is only 9 inches in diameter, some dumps off the blowers, you will see me working on the blower and the first dump you see next to it is full on potch from the miner before me and I am going in to chase this and hope this is some opal around as there is a lot of virgin ground here that has not been touched as yet.
The level that I am going to work on is at 37 feet so it is 40 feet to the floor where the big tunnel machine shaft is and the shaft that has the 2 pipes next to it that I am about to lower down is 42 feet to the floor as the level drops 2 feet from the shaft where I am backing the truck onto and this area where I am going to start mining, turns out that there was nothing here for me in the way of chasing material as that disappeared almost as soon as I started tunneling where there was some.
