This is a One & Only Pendant Sterling Silver - Gold Plated inlay/mosaic pendant, 26.6 x 26.9 mm in size and inlaid with a multi colored gray opal and Boulder Ironstone using a technique that I developed here in Coober Pedy, the opals have plenty of fire and sparkle, this pendant really stands out with any movement, there are a multitude of colors in the opal and is 1000% better than the photos show, NO photo can show you what this piece looks like in real life, need something different that will stand out and be looked at then this is it. As Bolder Ironstone comes from Queensland and some contains natural opal within it, it is a perfect match for inlaying or using as backing when making doublets as the ironstone and opal will have the same expansion and contraction rate in hot and cold climates, so I thought then that I would combine the two together to make some beautiful and unusual jewelry pieces. The play of color within this opal is very good, the photos below are Not a very Good Representation of the opal colors present [depending on your monitor] but they cannot show you the richness and depth nor the full colors and pattern present within this piece as it can be seen with the naked eye in real life in the natural light, all opals need some movement to show off the colors and FIRE present, so it is hard to show you all of the above in the photos below. The Opal Pendant is shipped within a velvet Jewelry Box along with a complimentary Display Chain for presenting as a gift or present to that someone special.
