The opals used in this Mosaic Piece are a excellent quality multi colored crystal with plenty of Fire, inlaid along with a velvet obsidian that has blue & burgundy colors in a swirl affect plus it has a mottled "Tortoiseshell" look about it, the play of color (see link below) within the Inlaid/ Mosaic Piece is not only excellent, but brilliant there is enough Fire in this opal stone to start a Fire with, it has a highly polished surface although it does not look like it in the photos, this is a one and only piece and was found, cut, polished and wire wrapped by me Stuart Bird.

The play of color within the opals is Superb plus this is GENUINE OPAL used in this Inlay Piece, it is a large item and will be an eye catcher for sure, attractively wire wrapped in 14k gold filled wire (vermeil) and is held within prongs. (claws) Read about Gold Filled Wire Here.
