OPAL ROUGH for INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED and SKILLED LEVEL CUTTERS:
This large piece of opal is about 8 years old and was found on the 11 mile field and was part of a parcel that I found, the
top has been rubbed down only (not polished) so you can see what the color looks like and what you are buying,
the opal is Green/Orange Crystal and is a bar on top of some blue opal that is on a small bar of green/orange on the bottom,
the stone is stepped at the bottom, please look at the extra photo's it shows you the bottom of the stone.
The bar of opal is somewhere around 50 carats in weight as it is right now, the size of the stone is 57 x 24.5 x 16.2 mm deep,
these photos do not do the opal justice as this really is a beautiful piece, the thinner end is just as good as the big end, I just
had trouble keeping it wet while I took the photo's, so it looks a bit dull here and there is still a small spot of sand to taken
out just about in line where that right angle corner is.
Large pieces like this are hard to get and I don't think that the buyer will send this back once seen.
Due to differences in computer monitor quality the color's shown here may vary slightly from the actual product and normally are
better in real life, Please remember that these opals are blown up so you can see right into them and the camera picks everything
at close rage, more then the human eye can.
The extra photos will show what the parcel has in the way of color, what you see here is what
you will get, I do not enhance the photos in any way and all are taken in water and direct sunlight.
The Coin is a USA 25¢ Piece, it will give you some idea of the size of the opal pieces, the photo's will give you
some idea of the color of the opal, but it will always be better in real life when seen with the naked eye under natural light,
